Refund Policy

The Anchorage Mayor’s Marathon has a longstanding policy of not offering refunds. Planning a successful event is challenging and comes with significant upfront expenses.
As a result of COVID-19, we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 event and offered participants the one-time option to receive a refund or defer their registration to 2021. It was the right decision to keep our community safe and offer these financial flexibilities in uncertain times.
In preparing for 2021, we continue to monitor developments surrounding COVID-19 and remain in communication with local health authorities. As a contingency, and as a matter of transparency to our participants, if the difficult decision is made to restrict or cancel the 2021 event, there will not be an option to receive a refund or deferral to the 2022 event. Instead, we will transition to hosting an exciting and engaging ‘virtual’ event. We are committed to bringing you the opportunity to train and run the race of your choice.
