Healthy Futures Kids Mile
This is a free event for grade school age youth. The new looped trail course measures one mile. Healthy Heroes role models will run and interact with the kids and pass out Healthy Futures medals at the finish line.

This is a fun, untimed event with no results (there will be a display clock for those who want to track their own time).
The event is held in conjunction with bib pickup at the Anchorage Mayor's Marathon & Half Marathon; bring your kids to bib pickup and watch them run the Kids Mile!
The Kids Mile map is posted on the Course Descriptions page.

  • FREE (register online in advance or in person on site)
  • 1 Mile, untimed
  • Trail run in vicinity of Kincaid Park.

COVID-19 mitigation:

  • Because the mask mandate was removed in the Municipality of Anchorage, masks are not required, but anyone who wishes to wear one is encouraged to.
  • Kincaid Stadium is a spacious outdoor venue with room for social distancing at the start and finish.
  • Participants are encouraged to grab water and a snack on self-serve tables after finishing — but should not gather in groups.
  • Our Healthy Hero role model athletes will lead a warmup and join the runners for Kids Mile but will not be signing posters or gathering at the Healthy Futures tent afterwards.
